Now that we got the daily news out of the way let’s broach some larger topics in the news today
Like the opioid crisis
We all are aware that the very people who turn out those Don’t do Drugs campaigns are the ones who profit off of people abusing opioids? If you are not aware, you are now. And these ads, if viewed carefully and broken down, can actually be seen as enticing kids and teens to do ‘what they are not supposed to’ as well as bringing into their awareness what likely was not Until they saw it on television.
If you’re from my generation you recall the fried egg commercial
This is your brain
This is your brain on drugs
Yeah that one
That’s where it started
Then came Bush damming the black crack epidemic, cocaine suddenly making an appearance In improvised African American neighborhoods. How did it get there? Perhaps during the Vietnam war, loads of it were dumped right after experiments proved its effects as catastrophic as they would need it to be. To obliterate any progress of human rights. Martin Luther King having paved a way that the government was hard pressed to revert back.
In others words, these ads which are made by the people who profit from opioid addiction and related health costs, do Not want a DisContinuation of the problem as such would mean lesser funds for them.
They are the same tier who throws out those signs that are plastered on the back of high (and now even middle) school bathroom stall doors.
Yes, I realize it sounds far fetched but if these ads are truly watched carefully; it can be deciphered how they Inform and Entice teens to do what they may not have thought of has they not seen it advertised as a No No on TV
